R.S.V.P.:

Blim is right across from the Tinseltown Cinemas. If you are heading west on Pender, Blim is just past the Chinatown Gate and to your right. Just look for a gated parking lot, a red brick building & look up for a neon dancing man! There will be a poster board at the gate as well.

To enter the gate please buzz #6000 or look for Blim on the electronic keypad. Parking is free & secured, but it is best to remove all valuables from your car. Public transportation is nearby, and there are bike racks on the premises.

NOTE: Please do not park in Bruce Allen's parking spot.

The wedding ceremony will start at 6:30 pm sharp. Please plan to arrive at Blim no later than 6:15pm. Our officiant has another wedding to perform after ours, so everything must start on time.

The Reception
Immediately following the ceremony, please join us for food, drinks and dancing! Although we aren't serving a sit-down dinner, we will have lots of food on hand so no one goes home hungry! Lots of hors d'oeuvres and sushi (including vegetarian & vegan options) from some of our favourite restaurants, including some homemade options and others that will be catered by Out To Lunch Catering. Beer and wine will be provided, as will be a non-alcoholic punch, coffee and bottled water. And don't forget to save room for cake!!

There will be plenty of dancing, with music deejayed by our superstar friend, Randy Gatley (aka DJ Handfuls, aka DJ Woman Song). Please come prepared to get down!

What is Blim?
Blim is a local art space that often hosts art markets, live music, and workshops. Here is a quick write up from their own promo sheet:
BLIM is a private operated "Sound and Art Gallery" which showcases local and international experimental sound, dance and performative or visual art projects, primarily in the electronic field. We believe in presenting work that is still deemed as art, yet not quite embraced by the music world or gallery context, but deserves a platform for expression. Art that is of the non-tangible so to speak.
Why did we choose Blim? Well, art and creativity and community are very important to us and Blim encompasses all those ideals. And, it's in Chinatown, which is very close to our Strathcona neighbourhood, so it seemed like the perfect place to get married.
